How Does Currency Exchange Market Work In POE 3.25 Settlers Of Kalguur? – Features & Tips

How Does Currency Exchange Market Work In POE 3.25 Settlers Of Kalguur

Hello fellow Exiles! As you may have seen during last week’s GGG live event, the developers announced that Currency Exchange Market will be added to Path of Exile 3.25 Expansion: Settlers of Kalguur. It is important to note that this feature is only available in Settlers of Kalguur League and not in Standard Leagues.

In this guide, we will go over some of the basics of how to use this new system. Are you ready? Let’s jump right in!

Currency Exchange Market Features Explained

Currency Exchange will be available in Town of Kingsmarch, where Faustus NPC is located, a new area in this expansion. Although we can interact with Faustus, this system is for player-to-player trading and is therefore not available in Solo Self-Found.

Don’t forget to invite Faustus to your Hideout so you can use this feature as often as you want between Endgame Maps without having to visit Kingsmarch every time.

In Currency Exchange Market UI, you can select POE Currency you want to trade and the currency you want to trade with at the buttons below “I Want” and “I Have”.

By selecting these buttons, it will open a window with all the possible POE Items that can be traded through this system. When selecting the currency you have, it takes into account your inventory and some stash tabs, so you don’t need to clean out your inventory beforehand.

At the top of this interface, you will usually see a section called “Popular”. This is where most people will trade with common currencies, such as Divine Orbs.

When entering the currency you wish to receive, the popular category will include a subset of the items that have been recently traded for that currency, specifically the top 12 items with the highest trade volume. If you want to complete the trade quickly, it is highly recommended that you select one of the popular currencies.

Trade Ratio & Cost

If we have already selected the currency we want and have, we need to specify a ratio. This ratio shows the best currently available outcome for the trade you are trying to make.

When you hover over this ratio, it will show a number of the best ratios available. If you want to complete the trade in a timely manner, it is recommended that you set a ratio equal to one of these or similar ratios.

You will notice that as the amount of currency you want increases, a gold cost is displayed here. In order to trade using this method, you will need to pay a gold cost, which you can find in Wraeclast in Settlers of Kalguur League.

Since this value has been balanced in the mid-game campaign, it may be quite difficult or even completely unreasonable to use this system in the early game. But by the end-game, it should be relatively insignificant and only a symbolic cost.

It is worth noting that because gold cannot be traded, you must play the game to participate in this system.

There Is A Limit To The Number Of Exchanges

Now that we can place our Exchange, we can add it here. Note that the moment your Exchange is placed, it can start to be filled. So be careful when placing an Exchange.

There is a limit to the number of exchanges you can make at any given time, and this limit is shared by all leagues. You can try this limit and watch your trades complete in real time.

Fortunately, trades can be partially completed, and you can close a trade at any time and take your POE Currency. However, closing a trade will not refund your coins.

You will be notified when a trade is complete. If you are offline or happen to miss the notification, you should make sure to keep Faustus in sight of your Hideout. When he has something for you to collect, an icon will appear above him that looks like a hand holding a money bag. However, you can also highlight Exchanges ready to collect in POE Currency Exchange interface.

Trading Tips

To retrieve your currency, you can simply select it and put it in your inventory. On keyboard and mouse, you can control-click to move the entire stack, and you can control-right-click to move as much currency as you need to fill your inventory.

When using a PlayStation or Xbox Controller or similar device, you can press Square or X, respectively, to do the same thing. Holding down these same buttons will move as much currency as you need to fill your inventory.

It’s worth noting that you can also bulk move currency from your inventory to your stash by using these same binds. You can also use this keybind to do the same thing when doing player-to-player trades in the traditional way, so it stays consistent across all interfaces.

You can always hover over the panel to learn more. Or if you just need to refresh your memory.

We’re really excited to see how Currency Exchange Market for Settlers of Kalguur League develops, and figure out if and where it might play a role in the future Path of Exile Expansion. Regardless, we hope to see you in Settlers of Kalguur Expansion when it releases on July 26th. Good luck!
